I get lots of emails from those asking me what to expect during the photo shoot and how do I get those “REAL” smiles. Here’s the answer. Have FUN! Yes, it’s really that simple. I am just a girl with the camera that captures real emotions, real smiles and great images. All you have to do is be yourself, relax and enjoy. It’s not complicated, there is no magic or tricks. I have met some incredible people over the last few months and I have many posts to get up on the blog. Don’t worry, I’m in the middle of hiring someone, so I should be able to play catchup and get back on track. Any hoo hoo, here is an image that I chose that shows what my shoots are all about. F*U*N! The romantic vintage engagement shoot

These are photos from a session I did with my friends from SoCal Shootout last month. Yes, I am sooo behind on blogging, but thought I would start catching up now. This vintage engagement photo session took place in Claremont, CA. Supplied with a great location, great props (like the classic oldsmobile) and great couple, I was able to capture some amazing romantic photographs of this adorable couple, Tristen and Kevin, who will be getting married this summer. Rain was in the forecast…BOO. However, as a Photographer, I know that mother nature doesn’t have a schedule and if it rains, the show must go on. This meant I was prepared to shoot in the rain if need be. I mean this shoot was scheduled a good couple months in advance. Luckily, the sun starting to peak out and we were blessed with sunshine and no rain. Yay…… :-) Hair and makeup done by Kacee Geoffroy, Alisha Baijounas, Heather Molina. I love the theme and think it’s such a classic romantic vibe. Enjoy!!!

Honolulu, Hawaii…Justin and Kelsey

Here is the 2nd couple photography session I had scheduled while vacationing in Honolulu, Hawaii. This is just a quick post to end the year with some great shots of Justin and Kelsey. Honolulu, Hawaii is home to

great weather
beautiful beaches
incredible palm trees
tons of greenery
white sand that feels amazing when walking in it
lovely sunsets and more….

This photography session captured all of those. I would love to write more, but I must get back to my vacay and pop some fireworks since it’s New Year’s Eve. I will let the photographs do all the talking. Happy New Year everyone! WOOT

North Shore, Hawaii…Ashley & Abe

While vacationing back home in Honolulu, I managed to schedule in 2 shoots during my visit. This photography session was done a couple days ago on a GORGEOUS day in Haleiwa, Hawaii. The weather was perfect and the drive was breathtaking. It’s wonderful to know I can call it HOME.

We got there about an hour before sunset and made a quick go of it. Here are some adorable pics of Ashley and Abe, who are the cutest couple. I’m still here, so this is just a quick post so everyone can catch a sneek peek and to make all of you Mainlanders JEALOUS! LOL. Gotta head back to my vacation! Woo Hoo……

Lauren & David – Engagement

She’s from So. Cal…he’s from New Jersey. They met in Michigan, live in New York and will be getting married at the Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu on August 14, 2010. How’s that for some nationwide coverage. This adorable couple flew into LA this past weekend to do some serious wedding planning. Luckily they have an amazing wedding planner, Tricia Graup who had carefully planned out their visit. I met up with everyone while they were at FloraArt in Venice, CA. When I got there, they were still in their meeting, so I snapped a few pics of the flowers on display . Once they were done, we headed out for a quick engagement session before they went to yet another appointment. Both Lauren and David are heading back to New York today after a very productive weekend. Look at how adorable these two are together. Can you feel the love?

Tammi and Jackson-engagement

You may recognize Ms. Tammi Mac from one of many media/entertainment sources since she is an Actor, Producer, Writer and Disc Jockey. When she’s not in front of the cameras doing her thing, she’s in the studio, hosting the “Mac in a Box” show on LA’s very own KJLH 103.1 Mon-Fri 7:00pm- 12:00am. She’s one cool chic. Now, let’s talk about Jackson. He too is a DJ in Memphis at WRBO 103.5. Yes, I did say Memphis, as in Memphis, Tennessee.

Tammi and Jackson first met when they were hosting a radio show in Tennessee at Power 97 over 9 years ago. Tammi’s career took her to LA and Jackson stayed in Memphis hosting his late morning show to all the beloved Memphis fans. Since they became an item, these two “jocks” have managed to keep a healthy and beautiful relationship despite the near 2,000 mile separation. This not only means spending lots of time in the air traveling to each other; it also means: lots of cell phone minutes, lots of webcam chatting and lots of emails. But, these two got it covered! And, the result….one rock solid relationship.

These two are officially “engaged” and will be getting married in February. Jackson flew in for this engagement session and we made a day of it. We started off at the studio Tammi broadcasts out of and worked our way around LA and finished off in Hollywood. After spending the day with both, I see how strong of a relationship these two have and think they are a great couple. I love how real their relationship is and thought it was fun to hang out with these two DJs. I had a blast.

Adam & Britany

Adam & Britany met when they were just teenagers years ago. Since then, they’ve been quite the couple. Britany avoids cameras like the plague, so to get this session setup was quite the challenge. But, as you can see below, we got some great shots of them. See Britany, that wasn’t so bad was it? It’s just a camera!

Masaki & Dyana

Some of you might remember the cute little “rocker” baby I posted a while back named Kan. Well, here are his parents Masaki & Dyana. These two have been an item for quite a while now, over 8 years in fact. But, by looking at these photos, you would think they are “newlyweds” rather than an old married couple, with a brand new baby! In fact, these photos were taken when little Kan was just a couple months old. While this photo session was primarily for Kan, we managed to sneak in a few shots of the proud mommy and daddy as the happy couple. Check out the tattoo Masaki has on his right arm of Dyana. Now that is love!

Christina & Tony – Engagement

I shot Christina & Tony’s engagement photos a few weeks back, but thought I’d post them, since I will be shooting their wedding in a few more weeks. They drove down from the Bay Area to do the engagement photos and the shoot started off a bit crazy; an LAPD black & white police car hit the side of their shiny red beetle. It was an out of service patrol car, which basically means a mechanic was driving it back to the station about 5 blocks from where the accident occurred. But, because it involved and LAPD vehicle, it took almost 2 hours of our time, pushing our shoot back a couple hours. A total of 9 officers came out and the reports that had to be drawn up was a bit over the top. I was worried both of them would be stressed about the whole accident and the pics wouldn’t be as great, but both of them were champs and went on with the shoot with no worries. You would’ve never known their car just got crunched by a police car! Great job guys. The only downfall was we didn’t have time to make it to the beach, but hey, you can’t have it all. We all had a great time and some awesome pictures. Here are a few…
