Some of us associate the “start of summer” when Memorial Day, rolls around each year. And, while it is a reminder that the summer months are near, let us remember the true meaning of Memorial Day. It is in fact the day for all of us to remember those who have died in our nation’s service. I have 3 generations of United States Marines in my family and have a profound appreciation for all the men and women who serve our Country. As I mentioned before, my nephew Christopher recently graduated from the USMC boot camp at MCRD last month on April 3, 2009. While I posted some of the ceremony shots, I never posted any portraits from that special day. I thought it was appropriate to post them today and as a tribute to all those who have or are serving in any of our armed forces. Happy Memorial Day to all and may God Bless our troops!
